Sydney-based online casino games maker Lightning Box is set to launch some of its most popular titles with major online gambling operator Betway, news emerged Thursday.
As part of a newly signed content deal, the supplier has delivered some of its most iconic slots, including Chicken Fox 5x Skillstar, Kalahari Safari, Extreme Fishing, Blown Away, Spartan Fire, Eagle Sun, and Lightning Leopard, among others, to Betway.
The integration was carried out via SG Digital, the online gaming division of Scientific Games, and follows an earlier integration of Lightning Box slots with the iGaming operator via Microgaming.
Founded in 2004 by Aristocrat and IGT veteran game designers Peter Causley and David Little, Lightning Box is an ever-growing developer and supplier of omni-channel video slot solutions for the global casino industry.
Based in Sydney, the studio delivers a wide variety of content for land-based, online, and social casinos around the world.
Its expanded partnership with Betway follows a series of important content delivery deals with leading iGaming companies and brands. In March, the studio announced that it has teamed up with 32Red to provide the operator with its content while strengthening its presence in the lucrative UK market.
In addition, Lightning Box has recently launched its content in the US states of Michigan and Pennsylvania through content delivery deals with locally licensed operators.
Pleased to Offer More of Their Games with Betway
Commenting on their expanded collaboration with Betway, Lightning Box CEO and co-founder Peter Causley said that their games have been popular with the operator’s players for some time now and that they are “very pleased to now offer more of the same via our good friend at SG Digital.”
Mr. Causley went on to say that what Betway is getting is “proven performers that have maintained their popularity in a number of regulated markets” and that they look forward to seeing their products establish a fan base with that operator, as well.
SG Digital Commercial Account Director Christian Croft said that Lightning Box’s content is popular wherever it is played and that he is sure “Betway will benefit greatly from adding it to their portfolio.”
Betway has recently loaded its games lobby with titles from a slew of other major iGaming content makers and suppliers. Earlier this year the company announced that it has expanded the scope of an earlier partnership with Pragmatic Play to add the provider’s Live Casino products. In late 2020, Betway went live with its partner’s Slots suite.
It recently became known that the operator’s parent company, Super Group, is set to merge with a special purpose acquisition company Sports Entertainment Acquisition Corp. to go public on the New York Stock Exchange in a move that would greatly help Betway in its effort to expand in the US sports betting and iGaming fields.
